Mice immunized with adjuvanted NVX-CoV2373 vaccine had significantly higher anti-S IgG antibody titers. The antibodies showed good neutralizing activity and blocked the binding of the virus to the hACE-2 receptor. Mice immunized with adjuvanted vaccine (both single and booster dose) were significantly protected from weight loss when compared to the palcebo treated mice.

A multi-epitope vaccine was designed based on reverse-vaccinology approach. This vaccine was able to elicit a 'humoral' and 'cellular' immune response against SARS-CoV-2 infection.
