Transgenic type I interferon knockout (IFNAR/-) mice, inoculated intranasally with SARS-CoV-2 showed infections in tissues including lungs, heart, stomach, intestines, liver, spleen and kidneys. Lungs with hyperemia, regional consolidation and subpleural air accumulation was observed on necropsy.
